They see the openings you have, hold a time, and put money down on your Stripe. You set the rules for deposits and cancellations. They can move their own booking, within those rules, without calling. The deposit and the rest of the bill stay on one tab.

They pick a time, and it is held
The slot is set aside long enough to finish paying, not so long it blocks a real booking. Two people cannot land on the last opening at once.

They put money down
A deposit on a page that looks like you, charged to your Stripe. One charge, no added fee, no stranger's logo. The slot is now real.

It confirms when the deposit clears
Not when their browser says so. If the phone dies at checkout, the booking still lands and the confirmation still sends.

The balance is set for arrival
Attached to the booking, ready to settle at the counter or as a bill, so you are not chasing it.
